Danfoss Editron is leading the electrification revolution. Our mission is to end pollution with electrification.
Editron specializes in hybrid and electric powertrain systems for the marine, off-highway and on-highway markets. A business division of Danfoss, it develops and manufactures high-performance power systems for heavy-duty vehicles, machines and marine vessels based on synchronous reluctance assisted permanent magnet technology and state-of-the-art power electronic converters.

Job Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to
- Create and document software modules in C and/or C++ that enable electric powertrains
- Test and verify your code using unit testing frameworks
- Collaborate with other software developers, architects, test engineers, and system engineers in an agile environment
Depending on your experience and skills, you may also
- Lead a scrum team or a workstream as a scrum master or a workstream lead
- Ensure software quality assurance (SWQA) standards and best practices
- Develop software modules that comply with functional safety (ISO 26262) requirements
Background & Skills
To succeed in this role, you need to have
- A B.Sc. degree or equivalent in software engineering or electrical engineering with 3+ years of experience in software development
- Strong proficiency in software development in C and/or C++
- Basic knowledge of software development in Python
- A team player mindset, but also the ability to work independently and take ownership of your tasks
- Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written
We would also appreciate if you have
- A M.Sc. degree or equivalent in software engineering or electrical engineering with 5+ years of experience in software development
- Familiarity with functional safety in software engineering (especially ISO 26262), and experience of FuSa projects in the automotive industry
- Experience of using Azure DevOps for software development lifecycle management
- Experience of working as a Scrum master or a product owner in agile projects
- Understanding of power electronic converters, motor control, and electric traction systems, or the willingness to learn about them
