We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Global Payroll Manager to lead the Global payroll team and payroll management for our Finnish colleagues. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing payroll practices in Finland, can lead a team and possess a strong skill set in payroll process improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Working with our external vendor be responsible for managing and overseeing all payroll practices within Finland and being a key contributor for all salary matters, commission calculations, benefits, tax and social contributions
- Monitor payroll processes to ensure compliance with local regulations and legal requirements
- Collaborate with Global payroll team, HR, Accounting, and Finance teams to ensure timely and accurate input of payroll data
- Oversee the payroll team, providing leadership and guidance in day-to-day payroll operations
- Continuously improve payroll processes, increase efficiencies, and identify opportunities for automation
- Provide recommendations on payroll policies and procedures to meet the needs of the business while ensuring compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of all payroll-related transactions
- Conduct regular audits of payroll activities and make necessary corrections to maintain data integrity
- Provide training and support to HR, managers and employees on payroll matters
Who are we looking for:
- Excellent payroll experience with an emphasis on Finnish payroll practices
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good knowledge of local employment laws and regulations in Finland
- Proven experience in process improvement and automation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluency in English and Finnish
- Experience using Workday
