Look no further – we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer at ABB Oy, Large Motors and Generators division in Helsinki. In this R&D role you will be responsible for Power Electronics engineering activities and coordination of new technology development tasks. Senior Design Engineer role is a key role in our team offering good possibilities to influence the future of new product platform. Technology Manager
Your responsibilities
- Selecting suitable power converter topologies and components and defining technical specifications for new type of power electronic converters
- Technical responsibilities related to dimensioning, protection, and simulation of power electronics
- In addition, according to your own interest, you may provide technical details and deliverables for sales and end customers and working as a technical lead for design engineers
Your background
- A B.Sc. or M.Sc. in electrical engineering or electronics
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
- Good communication and social skills
- Fluent written and spoken communication skills in English, Finnish language skills is a benefit
- Organized way of working, willingness to take responsibility and customer-focused service mindset
