The team you'll be part of


Our Mobile Networks Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).

You will be part of our Digital Front End (DFE) ASIC team, where more than 170 professionals are working on the Nokia ReefShark family of System-on-Chips (SoC): ReefShark | Nokia Networks


We are responsible for custom silicon, a key element in our strategy to gain technology leadership in 5G networks. We are working with state-of-the-art tools and have access to the latest silicon technologies. Our team is diverse, with 13 different nationalities represented. The working language is English.


What you will learn and contribute to


As a System-on-Chip Trainee/Thesis Worker you are a member of SoC DU organization you will participate our project tasks. You communicate well in a multi-cultural team in English.

We appreciate if you have knowledge or experience in some of these areas:

  • Digital design, verification and debugging
  • SoC (ASIC/FPGA) design flow and process from RTL to GDS
  • Verification methodologies, e.g. VMM, OVM, UVM
  • Logical and physical implementation: synthesis, STA, P&R, DFT
  • VHDL or SystemVerilog language, Matlab, HighLevelSynthesis

Skills we expect from you:

  • Fluent English
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work in international teams
  • Motivation and enthusiasm to learn new
