We are a private English nursery school providing quality daycare for children aged 1 to 7 years. The Reggio Emilia approach has inspired us to develop our nurseries into very special places for children. Our aim is to create amiable nurseries where children, educators and parents are at ease and happy.
We are now looking for a Nursery nurse (lastenhoitaja), to join our team. The applicant must have at least 1-5 year's of experience as a Nursery nurse and a formal qualification in the field of early childhood education. If the qualification is not from Finland, it must be approved by Finnish National Agency for Education (Opetushallitus). Only candidates who have been certified by the Opetushallitus to work in Early Years settings or have applied for the certificate, will be considered for the position. Working with children requires an extract from criminal records.
An ideal candidate will also have
Good team working skills, an energetic and positive approach
A passion to grow and excel in the area of childcare and development
Excellent oral and written English communication skills
Organizational ability and good time management skills
Ability to use Microsoft applications
Interest in working with children and people from different cultures and nationalities
Knowledge of and previous experience in Reggio Emilia approach will be preferable; however, it is by no means an essential criterion for selection.
