In our new Electric Vehicle Systems business Line we develop and manufacture battery systems from 48V up to High Voltage for automotive and industrial applications. Valmet Automotive covers the full range from contract manufacturing to a TIER1 system supplier.
Here’s where you’ll make an impact:
In this role your main objective will be to drive, develop and execute sustainability and environment management system at Valmet Automotive EVS Business Line in all affected locations. You will ensure its compliance to the relevant standards, customer and authority requirements and continually improve this to promote standard processes in all EVS locations and on Group level, if necessary.
Your task will also include:
- Ensuring ongoing compliance of the Sustainability and Environment management to the agreed standards, customer and regulatory requirements (e.g. certification, etc.).
- Improving and standardizing existing process landscape concerning Sustainability and Environment on EVS level with the departments.
- Establishing a culture of positive sustainability and environment management adoption at EVS.
- Standardizing the EVS sustainability and environment processes in all affected locations.
- Ensuring related communication internally and towards the customers.
- Supporting the organization in tasks relating to internal and external audits (authority, customer) – planning, completion, follow-up and reporting in a timely manner.
- Preparing trainings in your area including planning, preparation, organization and improvement in all EVS locations.
- Developing and sustaining related reporting and its implementation and improvement.
- Representing EVS Sustainability and Environment internally, on Group level and externally.
- Contributing to the improvement and strategic planning of EVS related vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to ensure operational excellence in the future.
We hope that you would have:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other relevant subject or at least 5-7 years of work experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge of international standards such as ISO14001 or IATF16949.
- Earlier experience with sustainability framework (ESG) and CO2 footprint calculation and/or sustainable supplier management is advantage, as well as knowledge of local environmental regulations.
- Knowledge of quality control methods, tools and techniques, document management, workspace.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- English languages, both fluent in speaking and writing with full professional proficiency.
- Finnish and/or German language skills are an advantage .
